WITHOUT A SENSE OF CARING
Hackney & Islington, 2019.

This body of work has endeavored to capture the ongoing changes to inner London communities and their environment driven by gentrification and rising house prices; showing the impact on both individuals and society, as well as the disruption within communities, including residents and local traders. ‘Without a sense of caring, there can be no sense of community’ displays a fragmented relationship between the community and its surrounding architecture in which we see long-standing neighbourhoods becoming displaced due to fast-pace redevelopment and housing being sold primarily to the private sector.
